Open-es, a collaborative digital platform launched by Eni, Google Cloud and BCG, empowers companies—particularly those in Procurement, Banking, Insurance, and Associations—to engage stakeholders with a unique tool for measuring and enhancing sustainability performance. The Platform also facilitates the sharing of information, experiences, and best practices among businesses, creating a collaborative ecosystem. In under five years since its launch, the alliance has grown to include over 25,000 companies across 107 countries and 66 industries.
Recently, Open-es has expanded its scope through a new partnership with Hypercube, developing a dedicated water section on the platform. This section will incorporate water credits alongside other environmental initiatives, broadening its support for sustainable water management.
This addition will enable supply chain leaders to mobilize their entire ecosystem in large-scale water footprint reduction, using water credits as a key component of their strategy.
“The water credit system reaches its full potential and creates a substantial impact on the territory when integrated within supply chains. Through this collaboration, we aim to accelerate a cross-sectoral transition, spanning Italian and international industries and supply chains, toward greater water efficiency and a more sustainable use of this resource.”
Eleonora Del Plato, Hypercube COO
“Open-es represents an important opportunity for companies to improve their sustainability by actively engaging all stakeholders in measuring and managing their environmental performance. The collaboration with Hypercube and the focus on mitigating water impact are fundamental steps towards more sustainable management of natural resources.”
